Two screens for a TV in the shop. Both update within seconds of a change: a check-in on the kiosk, a call from the Barberly app, a new online booking.
The queue screen#
- Left: the clients called for service, with big numbers, the barber they go to, and "please come forward" or "in the chair".
- Right: the waiting list with numbers, names, services and the estimated wait per client.
- A footer note ("Your number will appear on the left when a chair is ready" by default) and the average wait.
- When the list is longer than the screen, it scrolls by itself.
The appointment board#
- Today's timeline per barber: booked appointments, walk-ins and kiosk check-ins, breaks, blocked time, off-shift time, the live "Now" line and who is in the chair.
- A queue button with the number of waiting clients opens the queue on top of the board.
- Rows beyond the screen scroll automatically.
Clients appear on both screens as first name and last initial, for example "Andrew G."
Open a screen on a TV#
Two ways:
- The TV app for Apple TV, Google TV and Android TV. It signs in once, stays on the chosen screen and comes back to it after a restart. See TV app.
- A browser on any smart TV or on a computer connected to the TV. Open your kiosk address and choose the screen on the staff setup page. The addresses from the old kiosk keep working:

Board settings#
Under AppsWalk-in queue and kioskAppointment board:
- Hours ahead: how much of the day the board shows, 2 to 8 hours.
- Row height: taller rows for a few barbers, shorter rows for a big team, so the board fills the screen either way.
- Queue button text.
The colours, type and texts of both screens follow the kiosk theme. See Settings.
